Catholic sympathy for Fascism, and the blessing of a British agent...

I wonder if anyone can attempt a justification for me of the Pope sanctioning and meeting Mussolini?

See: http://www.criticalpast.com/video/65675058957_Benito-Mussolini_Saint-Peters-Cathedral_Lateran-Treaty_Swiss-guards

It seems to me all humanitarians would have to dissoaciate immediately from any institution that claims a Fascist sympathiser and fellow-traveller is the voice of God and represents him on Earth. Please explain!

Oh, but wait,

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2009/10/14/world/main5383503.shtml

Mussolini was apparently a British agent employed to arrange the beating up of strikers for peace during World War I, when Italy was on Britain's side.
The Yemeni authorities' false raising of the Al Qaeda spectre reminded of this story: http://iwpr.net/sr/node/6942
Macedonian authorities murdered 6 Pakistanis an an Indian

who were seeking work at the Olympics. After they were

shot the police fabricated a story that they were Al

Qeada. The police were so stupid at inventing the

deception they changed their story several times, which

led to their sickening behaviour being uncovered, but

also begs the question of how many times we are fed

stories of atrocities actually committed by governments,

but attributed to their enemies. The Macedonian state

killed these innocents to get money from the USA to fund

non-existent anti-Al Qaeda operations.
Even if you blindly trust governments, knowing they have

your best interests at heart, you might find this

interesting:

Particularly relevant when SAS have turned up unwelcome

in Libya carrying passports from a number of countries.
The state's practised weapon against people discussing

such theories is to label them juvenile, mad, or

gullible. This has the added advantage of producing a

feeling of superiority in those condemning their

arguments. Iadvise all those who believe the state has

their best interests at heart to read 'on the justice of

roosting chickens'
